Moticar’s notification system is designed around one principle: every alert should be worth your attention. Unlike apps that bombard you with constant pings, Moticar sends notifications only when something genuinely matters and provides enough context that you can act immediately.

Alerts fall into several categories. Maintenance reminders tell you when a service is due or a document is about to expire. Budget alerts warn you when your spending is approaching your monthly limit. Security alerts (motibuddie only) notify you instantly if your vehicle experiences unexpected vibration, a power disconnect, or movement while parked.

With motibuddie , you also receive proactive vehicle health alerts: low battery voltage, coolant temperature warnings, and new diagnostic fault codes. These early warnings can prevent expensive breakdowns by catching problems before they escalate.

All notifications are configurable. You can choose which alert types you want, set quiet hours, and control whether alerts come via push notification, in-app message, or both. Moticar also groups related alerts intelligently – if three things are due this week, you get one summary rather than three separate interruptions.
